“Alma Negra is my obsession” is how Ernesto Catena defines it.
More than one type of grape, more than a wine, more than a style, it is a concept. How this wine is done is a mystery, a challenge to be discovered from the senses. An invite to taste this wine’s elegancy and complexity.
I designed a brand that tried to capture the essence of Ernesto’s peculiar personality. The lifestyle, the passion, and the mystery that is also incorporated in this spiritous wine. The images below are part of a brand campaign that I led the art direction. I developed the visual concept, produced and directed the photography.
Alma Negra is about closing our eyes and losing ourselves in the aromas and flavors of the grapes and letting them lead us to become wine.
